Lately...

...we've been fishing.

Prayer of abandonment by Charles de Foucauld:
"Father, do with me whatever you want."


What an incredible prayer of faith.


In Matthew and in Mark, Jesus calls out to two of his future disciples. He says to them, "Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men." In the very next verse, scripture says that Simon Peter and Andrew dropped their nets and followed him. With no hesitation. With no questions of, 'How will we fish for men?', 'What clothes do we need to take?', 'Where will we be going?', 'Will we have a house to sleep in once we are done fishing?'. None of that. 


They surrendered everything. 


They dropped everything.


They followed.


In faith.




Lord, increase my faith that I might follow you without hesitation, without question.
